The cast of the hit show ‘Friends’ have agreed to return for another season, despite having announced earlier this year its present season would be its last.
The six stars will be paid $1 million for each episode, and the network will pay Warner Bros Television, the show’s producer, $10 million per episode, making it the most expensive prime time show in history.
The hit show has experienced a revival during the last two seasons, with strong reviews and its first Emmy as best comedy series. Actress Jennifer Aniston also won an Emmy for best comedy actress.
The network and its stars — Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer — have dropped hints and said they were open to the idea of another season, despite the announcement in February that the fall season would be the last.
